October is Cybersecurity Month. Digital Skills Coalition Belarus is joining European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) 2026 and launching its own practical campaign: 30 Days — 30 Cybersecurity Challenges.

European Cybersecurity Month is an annual European campaign dedicated to raising cybersecurity awareness among citizens and organisations. The initiative is supported by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the European Commission, EU Member States, and public and private organisations across Europe.

The campaign has been running since 2012 and brings participants together around a simple idea: Cybersecurity is a Shared Responsibility.

Its official motto, #ThinkB4UClick, perfectly captures what we want to achieve this October.

30 Days — 30 Challenges

You can read a lot about cybersecurity. But sometimes it is far more useful to open your phone settings, check your accounts, and take a few concrete steps yourself.

That is why throughout October, we will publish small, practical cybersecurity challenges on the Digital Skills Coalition Belarus Telegram channel.

Every day, we will explore one aspect of digital security and suggest one action you can take yourself.

We will cover passwords and password managers, two-factor authentication, phishing and social engineering, smartphone and computer security, software updates, backups, privacy, VPNs, physical security keys, account recovery, the safe use of AI tools, and other digital risks we encounter in our everyday lives.

You do not need to be a cybersecurity expert to participate. Quite the opposite: our goal is to show that improving your digital security can start with small, simple, and manageable actions.

Meet Our Cyber Team

Three Digital Skills Coalition Belarus characters will accompany us throughout the month.

🦊 Cyber Fox is the team’s lead investigator. She loves puzzles, notices the little details, looks for the reasons behind what is happening, and helps uncover where a digital trap might be hiding.

🐕 Cyber Dog is her loyal assistant. He has a nose for threats and helps Cyber Fox rescue their friends when something goes wrong.

🦫 Cyber Beaver is the most curious member of the team. He loves technology and… really loves clicking things. He sees a link — he clicks it. He finds a QR code — he scans it. An app asks for another permission — his paw is already reaching for “Allow.”

But Cyber Beaver is not a “bad user.” He simply does what almost all of us do from time to time.

That is why many of our challenges will begin with a situation Cyber Beaver has found himself in. Together with Cyber Dog and Cyber Fox, we will figure out what happened, where the risk is, and what we can do to stay safe.

It’s Not Just About Prevention — It’s Also About Knowing What to Do

Digital security does not mean that nothing will ever go wrong.

It is equally important to know what to do if an account has already been hacked, a device has been lost, a password has been compromised, or we have clicked on a suspicious link.

That is why European Cybersecurity Month also highlights Cyber First Aid — knowing where to seek help and where to report a cybersecurity incident.

We will dedicate several of our challenges to this as well.

And There Are Prizes 🎁

By the end of October, we want participants not only to have learned a few new cybersecurity terms, but to have actually made their digital lives a little safer.

Those who make it all the way through and complete all 30 challenges will receive commemorative prizes that are also useful for improving digital security:

🟣 privacy screens for phones or computers;
🟣 one-year VPN subscriptions;
🟣 physical security keys;
🟣 and a few more surprises.

Follow the challenges on the Digital Skills Coalition Belarus Telegram channel and join us at any point during October.

30 days. 30 challenges. 30 small actions for a safer digital life.

And before you click that next button, remember Cyber Beaver 🙂
